Sometimes I draw blanks

Call it writer’s block

I tell my lazy brain thanks

And throw myself under a rock

Always searching for a word

On the tip of my tongue

Afraid I can’t be a good nerd

With a mind that’s this high-strung

I could memorize the dictionary

And record my every thought

I’d become a famed visionary

But my time to write’d be naught

Look at me worrying

When ideas are passing left and right

I’ll take my pen and get scurrying

And create a masterpiece tonight.

It’s nice to know that you can create anything at the drop of a hat, ace the assignment because of sheer effort, and have something to laugh about for the rest of all days.
